Started in 2003, Proxima Pvt Ltd, provides the whole gamut of shipping services.

In just our second year of existence we have been fairly successful having won the confidence of about 100+ clients in the short span. Our customer base is spread across Tamilnadu, Kerala and Karnataka. To better serve our customers, we have established branches in some cities and associates in others. Tuticorin, Tirupur, Madurai, Coimbatore, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi are few of the cities we have our presense. With well-furnished offices and experienced staff, we are equipped with updated IT systems to optimally leverage technology & provide prompt customer service.

We are presumably the first and among the youngest to have secured the prestigious MTO License (Multimodal Transport Operator) within a year of our inception. PROXIMA, is set to create waves in the maritime trade in South India by offering second to none innovative services and by expanding very soon to all major ports and ICDs of India.

THE PHILOSOPHY

The word Proxima takes its origin from the closest star to our solar system, Proxima Centauri. The world Proxima takes its etymology from the word proximal or proximity, meaning closeness. Proxima represents closeness between service provider and the client, even figurative closeness between source and destination points of the goods. Another meaning is similarity which again refers to the philosophy within the company reflecting similarity in thought and action.

The logo is the letter 'x' represented by a star. The star too is not complete and it is infact formed by four arrows coverging to a single point. Which is also reflected in our tagline 'Business by convergence'.

Business success is always achieved by convergence - of ideas & action, of promises & deliveries, of expectation & fulfillment, of goals & success. Covergence is also the ability to focus on the higher priorities.
